Kevin has a passion for bringing proprietary concepts to marketplace reality. He has more than 20 years of executive experience with technology businesses involved in radio frequency identification (RFID), global positioning system (GPS) and geo-visual analytics (GIS).

Kevin has been involved in bringing one of the best innovations to the pet care industry. Before SkyShepherd, Kevin and his team brought to market the highly successful global solution for finding your pet when lost. The implantable RFID “micro-chip”, is recommended by veterinarians and humane societies globally, resulting in millions of lost pets around the world being re-united with their owners.

RODNEY ("ROD") LANDERS

Rod is our Chief Technologist and Systems Engineer. He’s been integrating GPS and other wireless technologies into electronic systems for over 20 years, and is a recognized leader and expert in what is now called the Internet of Things.

His drive to do what is thought can’t be done has lead to several patents and resulted in innovations such as an automated landing system for commercial aircraft, an autonomous aerial vehicle to support US troops on the ground overseas, E911 for cellular phones, and many others.

With SkyShepherd, He has taken this knowledge and created something unparalleled in the pet industry's emerging wearable technology category.

CHAD JAMES

Chad is our animal behavior and dog training expert. He’s spent nearly 50 years pioneering design, modeling and production of electronic animal training products designed to improve the animal/human relationship. Chad is recognized for his unique work and has several patents for the products he has brought to market, including: Tri-Tronics, Eltrex4, Dogtra, Unleashed Technology and CJE Products.

After years of studying animal behavior science, Chad developed Guidance Training, which emphasizes timing and consistency combined with lower-level feedback in dog training. When humans provide feedback, consistency and immediacy are always a challenge, especially when frustration comes into play. But SkyShepherd harnesses GPS to give dogs truly immediate and consistent feedback, dynamically. SkyShepherd guides your dog as it moves.
