SkyShepherd is well suited for dogs over 20 pounds and properties of 1 acre or more that have up to light or moderate tree canopy covering their property. Our wireless dog fence for large acreage features a state-of-the-art GPS system and patented technology that allows you to create boundaries of almost any size and shape. Before training with SkyShepherd, your dog should be at least 20 lbs, be at least 6 months old, and know the basic obedience commands, “sit,” “stay,” and “come”/”here.” Ideally they would also walk well on leash. This doesn’t mean they know “heel” or something similar, only that they generally walk where you lead with slack leash and don’t pull, dig-in, bite the leash, etc. when you bring them for a walk. Walking well on leash is not a pre-requisite, it just makes training easier.
